Apple & Cranberry Crumb Pie |
This new recipe I created @ Divadish is just as delicious, but with a new twist.
Adding Cranberries, to the semi sweet apple mixture is like dressing up a old favorite and it also adds a little tartness to it. It really is a very good combination, and makes you think yummmmm!
The next little thing I did was make it a Butter crumb crust on its bottom and not a pastry crust. This gives it a cookie crust and it then takes on another yummmmm, because it then brings out the cookie and apples & tart again in a buttery way.
Making it a one crust was just because I felt as a Chef it did not need any more crust, it was already beautiful & tasty enough.
It is like the Mona Lisa when it is perfect it is enough!
